About
Hi,
my name is Andy and I am a hobby game developer and artist.
I started with game development in my free time about 11 years ago. Back then I started using the XNA game framework and created a few test games/prototypes for Xbox 360 and PC but never released anything. The first game I released was Herschnoid for Windows Phone 7.
Because of the small size of the Windows Phone market I switched to Apple. This was a pretty big step for me, after working more than 12 years as a professional developer with Microsoft technologies and programming languages.
In March 2012 I released my first universal game for iPhone and iPad called Pixel Cow. It’s a game about a cow collecting fruits and coins with a Snake-like gameplay.
In October 2012 I released Help Harry, a physics-based puzzle game with 75 levels for the iPhone and iPad.
The last few years I haven’t spent much time in game development – well, that’s not entirely true. I learnt Unity3D and wrote a few prototypes. I even rewrote Help Harry in Unity but I haven’t released it.
For the upcoming year 2018 I made the resolution that I will create one game every month. Since my job does not require me to program anymore, I would like to keep up my programming skills with game development in my spare time.
